The question is because I want to know if, after you have lived a "normal" promiscuos life, you can become a monk or a nun. Are they checking for some requirements in order to be one? Like if you have to be virgin, age limit or so?

The first thing you should be is Catholic. If you are already Catholic, than you are on the right track. If you are not Catholic, than you will need to look into converting to Catholicism. If you would like to convert, your best course of action is to visit your local Catholic church. There a priest will be able to work with you on the steps you will need to take to become Catholic.

Once you have become Catholic, you are now ready to look into what it takes become a nun. Nuns need to be unmarried. In the Catholic church this means that you should be both unmarried now and never married before. The Catholic church does not recognize civil divorces and obtaining a divorce from the Church is not easy. You can become a nun however, if you have been married in the past and your husband has passed away.

While the Catholic church does frown upon pre-marital sex, a woman can become a nun if she is not a virgin (as long as she has not married).

If you meet these standards; Catholic and unmarried/undivorced; you are free to become a nun.

To become a monk, one had to first become an oblate or a novice. To become an oblate, one had to be given to the monastery by one's father. Then, if one was old enough, one could take their first vows and become a novice. Then, after several years, if the abbot (head of the monastery) allows, one could become a monk.
No age limit for either

God Bless You

You do not have to be a virgin, or to have lived a sinless life. Various orders may have minimum age requirements. What you do need to have is a calling from God to that vocation. The specific order you are interested in will help you take steps to discern whether you do have a true vocation. In some cases they may discern that you do have a true vocation, but that some order other than their own would better suit your particular talents and interests. Incidentally, a promiscuous life is not "normal". Living within God's plan is "normal" for a human being. But such spiritual abnormalities in a person's earlier life will not necessarily pose an obstacle to a later religious vocation. God calls whomever He desires.

There is no requirement for life-long celibacy to become ordained in the Catholic Church. One of the vows upon being ordained is chastity, but sexual history will not prevent anyone from being ordained. Keep in mind of course, Catholicism considers any sex outside of marriage to be a sin, which requires confession to be forgiven. One of the priests at my parent's church is a widower with children. In addition, a Protestant minister who is married with children may convert and become a Catholic priest. I do not believe there is an (upper) age limit.
