Your hair is dark brown, & it's going to take a LOT of bleaching to get it up to any lite color blond. The HARDEST thing you're going to have to over come would be to get ALL the red pigment out, which brown hair is just loaded with. I'm a beautician by the way. I honestly wouldn't advise you to do it yourself tho. Not unless you want to go thru "tons" of bleaching AND VERY IMPORTANT, use ONLY ASH BLOND bleaches. The ash helps take out as much of the red as possible. I have brown hair, but did get my own hair up to the very lightest blond possible. But it did take lots of work until I got it that way or as lite as I wanted. Also, to be truthful, it doesn't matter if you use the expensive brands or the cheaper brands, they ALL do the same thing. I get mine when it goes on sale for $2.50 a box & get a few when it's on sale. So just keep in mind, you're going to go thru a LOT of "red" stages until you get the look you want, but you can do it tho. ALWAYS start at the roots FIRST. You no doubt w/have "breakage" too because bleach does dry out your hair badly, so use a good conditioner. I've been using "leave in" conditioners that you do not wash out...good luck to you, honey...:)
