Okay, so the first century started with the year 1. Therefore, everything up through the year 100 was the first century.

That said, the second century started with the year 101...If you do the math, that means that the 21st century began in the year 2001.

The 22nd century will start with the year 2101, and will run through 2200.

Yes, of course there will be 22nd, 23rd centuries, etc...As far out as you can imagine (unless the Mayan calendar is correct, which means we really only have a few more years here).

A century is 100 years. The first century (A.D.) was the year 1 to 100. In 2001 we changed from the 20th century to the 21st. In 2101 we will move into the 22nd century.

I'm glad you are finally hearing of the 21st century that the rest of us have been living in for the past few years ...WELCOME, newcomer.
The 22nd century doesn't start for about 94 years, so you won't have to be too concerned about it.
