has anyone had any negatives doing this? i'm wondering if its really worth it. I mean, now the child will be tracked and monitored..for life. basically.

Or to finger print your child on your own
If anything every happens, having finger prints will help
The only problem I see, is that your child finger print will be on file, and if he/she does anything stupid, their finger prints is on file.
I put my child finger prints on file.

If that's the one where they put a chip in the child's hand or forehead, then I wouldn't do it. The technology is way too Big Brother for me. But then, my kids are grown. If my kids were smaller I might hesitate to give such a cavalier answer.
