I think it's a romantic idea. If your guests really love you and want to support you in your new life, they'll get out of bed. My wedding was last May at 10am. I think morning weddings are nice, good weather, and a breakfast reception. Plus it gives your guests the rest of the day to get things done. Congratulations and good luck!

Not a darn thing. If there can be Easter sunrise services or a Catholic Christmas service at midnight then there can be a a sunrise wedding. Sunrise is the beginning of a new day and a marriage the beginning of a new life. Go for it and God Bless.

Many years ago my cousin had a sunrise wedding, 45 minutes away, in a field, under a tent, while it rained. Try that with a 2 year old. I'm NOT a morning person, either.

But my brother can't understand why people would want to still be having their wedding reception at midnight, when they should have been in bed by 9:30.

You aren't going to please everyone. So have your wedding when you want. Just don't expect a big, happy attendance at extreme hours, either morning or night.

My daughter's sister-in-law had a sunrise wedding in the pasture. Arrived by carriage, did the ceremony as the sun rose. Then they had breakfast at her parent's house. This was kinda small affair, I think about 25 or 30 people. It was beautiful, and the pictures are fabulous!

If you can get up that early, go for it!

I think alot of your guests would probably not appreciate having to get up at the crack of dawn, get ready in formal attire and attend a wedding ceremony. Depending on how flexible wedding planners are, they might not be willing to accomodate that request either. Speaking as a person who hates mornings I can see why you might find that alot of people object to it. Maybe if you want to do a wedding that involves the sun's positioning in the sky you could do a wedding that begins when the sun is setting. It gives you lots of time to prepare, time for the caterers, photographers and the wedding planner...not to mention you'll be fully rested from a good night's sleep the night before...

Just my opinion :-) Do whatever you want - it's your wedding. Just trying to show it to you from what may be other people's perspectives...

There is nothing wrong in sunrise weddings, they are unique & will shed some "new light" on an old tradition (pardon the pun) Good Luck!

That is a beautiful idea, but I agree it will be a bit tough getting people to attend. If you are young you may be able to pull it off by having a party BEFORE the wedding like at midnight. You would then host a breakfast, then th ceremony. I think in reality however, you would have to have just the two of yuo to make it work.

people will fall asleep and the lighting won't be great. i advise doing it at sunset. the sunset will be pretty and people will be alert. or put a large projecter showing a sunrise so u don't actually have get wed during an actual sunrise

I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all! I've been married before, and I know, whenever it is I get married again, I want to be at sunrise, on the beach.

It's your day, have it when YOU want it.

i don't think there's anythig wrong with it if yu can get up that early. my fiacne really likes the idea, but i'm not a morning person, and being the bride, i'd have to get up pretty early to get ready. i think if sunrise weren't so early in the mornin g(lol) it'd be really romantic, to start a new life with a new day!! but a lot of guests wouldn't go because it's so early. but that's ok!! good lcuk!!
