I think that you should talk to them both and see if they could work it out now that everyone is cooled down. Time hopefully will make your brother see that he needs to help Mom around the house and maybe counseling would not be a bad idea.

Of course your mom misses her son. Im a mom myself and to an extent I wouldve probably done the same thing. I mean is their a reason she kicked him out other than dropping out of school? Sometimes children have to learn the hard way through life. I think once he is out on his own he will realize that without a good education you will get no where in life and will grow up some and talk to you mom and come back home and do what he needs to do. So you as a sister can only do what you can and keep loving your brother.

Of course you and your Mom miss your brother. You would miss him if he went away to college, or got his own apartment after graduating from school. That would be completely normal. Change is always hard no matter what. It is great that you still see him and talk to him and you can stay close. I am also glad that you are trying to understand what and why you Mom made him move out. That is very important. Give it some time....hopefully your brother will understand what your Mom is trying to teach him and they can work things out. Try to stay out of the middle of their situation! Good luck.

I am pretty sure your mom misses him as much as you do, but she may also be relieved that he is out of the house and no longer fighting with her all the time.
Some young adults need to learn the hard way, and your mom is letting your brother do this. She did the right thing.

It's normal for you to miss your brother. Mom probably misses him too. He needs to grow up though. Where is he going to be in 5-10 years without an education? Probably in prison or on dope. You're mom is employing "tough love" right now, and I think she's right. It's tough on you, but are you learning from his mistakes? I sure hope so.

In my opinion many women care more about a tidy house than anything else they go beserk the same as my ex wife did. I think there is something missing in their souls or hearts...
