how does she prove that she was raped if noone but herself and her attacker know what happened, how does she prove it was non-consensual and thereby avoid punishment for adultery?

A practicing Islamic woman would not be on a trip by herself, married or not. It is not culturally acceptable.
As for how does she prove that she was raped. The same way that non-muslim women do. In too many cases, she can't and so she keeps it a secret.

Just like any other woman from other communities !!
She would go to police, would sue the person and then it will start.....she would be needing her medical checkup done by forensice especialist who is actualy a doctor to confirm the rape.....but as being married there would be some more means of confirming...... now forensic medican is much advanced and can get the culprit from even a small sign... but the shot answer is , she would be given justice if she is victim in all courts. Now media is that strong that even the influentail culprits can't hide their crime!

Married Muslim women are forbidden from leaving the home without their husbands or fathers accompanying them. Other close male relatives like their son when he comes of age can also take the mother out. Muslim girls are also not allowed to leave the home without the accompanient of their fathers and older brothers. She needs 4 witnesses to prove she was raped. Otherwise she can be charged with adulterly and can be whipped or beaten.

why does it have to be a muslim lady?
normally, you need to go to a hospital or police. They can test for, and document, penetration, struggle, any semen deposits. There is usually some sign of physical activity, even if you're unconscious, during vaginal exams. Maybe that is why muslim is important in the question? do they not allow exams?
plus the police always take the woman's word for it, even without proof. look at Kobe Bryant and the Duke Lacrosse Team.

Well just like any other woman she would need some kind of proof. There is a misconception that she needs four witnesses, that is false. Four witnesses are only needed to prove that she has bad character and committed adultery. This is for her own protection.

From what I hear they keep their mouth shut about it.
That is why women in muslims countrys have no record of being raped when they know it occurrs. They don't say anything.
Or they could die a horrible death.
In the bible King David used another man's wife Bathsheba.
They could not resist, when a man said, it is going to happen it happened. They are still in bible times over there.

When anyone is raped they need to report it immediately so that they can take DNA samples, and the bottom line is that it would be her word against the rapist ( I doubt if a married woman who cheated on her husband would cry rape) so I am sure she would be believed,

The law is on the womens side. She would have to go to the police and have a rape kit done so they can collect evidence.

Ever hear of forensic's?
Doctors can tell from examining the vigina if sex was regular, rough, or forced!
Not to mention ripped clothing and hair from the rapest!
Science is WONDERFUL! Try watching court TV sometime! You may learn something!
