We will be moving to the Milwaukee area later this year. We have a 2 year old and a 9 month old. Can someone give me an idea of what towns close to Milwaukee are good in terms of schools, low crime rate, & family activities? Maybe even some sub-divisions that would be good to look into?

The above areas are very nice...maybe a little pricey. We live in Wauwatosa, which is also nice, but a little more affordable. The Wauwatosa school district is awesome, and the neighborhoods are close-knit and very welcoming.

Feel free to e-mail me for more info....I can even recommend some pediatricians and daycare options, if you need it.

I lived in Chicagoland for 8 years, and I have two friends that are from Brookfield, WI. I visited the area several times and had an internship with a consulting firm there. I thought it was a really nice suburb. If we had stayed in the area, I would of definitely looked into buying a home there. Check out their website:

Good luck with the move.

Oak Creek is very nice and only minutes from Milwaukee (Oak creek is south of Milwaukee) Shorewood is nice as well (North and East of Milwaukee).

Feel free to email me if you want more detailed info :)
