I don't know 'for certain' that you will see your pets in Heaven, but I don't know 'for certain' that you won't see them in Heaven, either. You are GRIEVING and even though to some people it was 'just a pet' you are in just as 'much pain' as if a human had died or gone away. If it helps you to 'feel better about them' after they've 'left you' then I see nothing 'wrong' with hoping that you'll see them in Heaven when you're there ... but I also think that you need to 'get another pet' and learn to 'love it' with all the love you gave the one that has 'passed on' ... and you shouldn't 'wait' to do this, because that 'sweet baby' you bring into your home next could 'really need a good person' and it can also help you to 'get over' your grief. I'm sorry your 'baby pet' died .... and even if it was 'really old' when it died, it was still your 'baby' ... and I'll say a prayer for BOTH of you for the next week, at least ...

I'm sorry for your loss, Barbara. I agree that you should get a new kitten, but only if you're able to let go of your deceased pet enough to love the new one and to let it love you. Grief is a very powerful emotion and pets can pick up on that. I've been in the pits of despair without a friend to call and it never fails that my cat will come over to me and stay until he thinks I'm better. I know it may seem harsh not to wait, but waiting won't do any good as far as grieving goes. This is not to say that you shouldn't grieve, or that this new kitty will make you forget about the old kitty, its simply a new friend to love you while you grieve and to give you something to love.

Do you believe in heaven? It really depends on YOUR faith.
Here is a true story that happened to me - right before my grandmother passed - in her hospital room - she started talking to her beloved childhood pet cat, Tippy. She said that Tippy was at the bottom of the bed & wanted to know what we were going to do when she passed. A day later, she died.
I am very spiritual & believe that Tippy really was there for my grandmother to make her passing easier for her & for us. So yes, I believe that pets go to heaven like us, and we will be joined with them again (along with our other loved ones).
But be prepared to receive many different answers & this will depend based on people's faith. Again, ask yourself - Do YOU believe in heaven? There is your answer.
PS - I'm sorry for your loss.

Yes,Yes,Yes.Look up the Rainbow Bridge on the internet and you will find peace within. When one of my precious cats went to the other side it helped to go to support groups for people who are grieving from ill or pets who have passed.Usually you can find these support groups at the shelters or look it up on the internet.I live in Washington and went to one that really helped me get through it.Good luck and God Bless my prayers are with you.You will see all your beloved pets as they are waiting for you.....Take care..

I don't mean to be cruel or anything, and I'm very sorry about your pet, but I don't think animals go to heaven. For that matter, I don't believe people do either. And no, I'm not just a rambler who isn't quite sure of her ideas. The Bible does not say anything about dwelling in Heaven after we die, and it most certainly says nothing about our pets going to heaven.

Your pets are a gift from God as kind of an early house warming present...Consider your time with them as heaven sent and an introduction.

I am sorry for your loss. However, when it comes to heaven, it's never possible to have certainty -- we have no way of knowing now except in faith. Many people believe we will be reunited with out pets. Frankly, for me, it wouldn't be heaven if my cats weren't there with me.

I choose to believe they do. They are our companions and a member of the families and we hold them dear to our hearts. How can they not go to Heaven?

Every faith has their beliefs and I think Spirit wouldn't have created such beauty only to have them fall to the way side.

Im very sorry to hear about your pet, i know that must be hard and i dont mean to upset you more but pets will not be in heaven. There will be animals there but not our pets. God bless.
