Sugar and starch and fats and even extra protein is made into fat after it is digested, circulated around the body and not needed.That means fatty acids and glycerol originally from fats, sugars, and amino acids all can be changed into fat, a triglyceride.

It's a fatty substance in the blood that the body uses to produce fat. People who don't want to become diabetic need to monitor that.
