This is more of a genetics question than a puberty one.

Are there many tall people in your family, are you tall? They say that some traits skip a generation so look at yours and her fathers parents, great aunts and great uncles.

However she will grow at a faster rate now that she has hit puberty.

I hear about the relation between menarche (first period) and eventual hight. But I also know factually that the period can be delayed by insufficient body fat, stress and exercise. That would make a girls hight somewhat under her control, she could exercise a lot and maintain a low body fat index.

I am hoping this connection between menarche and hight is not true. I think it is popular knowledge based on nothing. I think this is coming from Asia as popular knowledge.

Hi there. I also got my period at 13 and was 150cm tall. I am now only 172cm as I stopped growing at about 16. Some girls do their growing earlier than others.

I was really tall 5'6 in 5th grade and all the other girls passed me up by junior high, girls usually stop growing at 16, but she may not just have to wait and see.
