If it is a plain old dial up modem, Windows XP (or whatever version you have) generic driver is fine. All Windows operating systems come with default drivers for several devices, such as keyboards, mouse, modems, printers and etc.. Otherwise, you can check the modem manufacturer for drivers or you can try www.techspot.com and search their collection of drivers. The website Driver Guide is fine too but to download the driver you need to register and create a free account, just make sure to opt out of their newsletter and other e-mail promos.
