Everyone has heard of the Wizard of Oz movie.
Not everyone knows about the remake with an all black (African American) cast. It starred Michael Jackson and Diana Ross, among others. It was called The Wiz. Look it up if you don't believe me.
They are now doing another remake with reptiles playing ALL the roles. Yes, reptiles. It is called The Lizard of Oz.

Want to see something really freaky? Play the Wizard of Oz turn the sound off, play the Dark Side Of The Moon CD by Pink Floyd at the same time and you be amazed at how the lyrics are in sync to the actions and events in the movie. Check out this website

??? I knew about the wiz, but the LIZARD of Oz? That's a disaster waiting to happen...
There's also a broadway musical called Wicked. It shows the story of the Wicked Witch of the West. Turns out she was trying to SAVE Oz from the Wizard!

I did some casiting assistant work, which means (in indie films) sometimes, finding the right people and then letting the casting director bring them into readings or negotiations, for the director or producer to decide. Thats a pretty good cast, seems like you either thought about it for awhile, or you're a natural. Now good luck negotiating top billing, pay, scheduleing, accomodations, who gets the 2 inch bigger trailer on set. But really, if you could reign in Ferrel and Carey so it doesn't go too over the top goofy, (and they can control themselves with the right directors and writers) Carrel just needs a decent script to stay on point. Julia worries me a little, but it's a small part, and she's a big box office draw. Love Uma for Wicked. Garner might be good, some people dislike her a little now, and I think she could be *sad to say) but - too old for Dorothy. Maybe a talented unknown that cant miss. Or someone young and fairly new but reputable, no Mickey Club rehab brats. Someone like Bryce-Dallas Howard, ( who showed she could look pretty darn good too in Spidey3) plus she can act, and no one has any tabloid crap on her. Dorothy has to be pure and unblemished, at least until you find out about her really screwed up life years down that Yellow Brick Road. Carey,Carrel,Ferrel - I never noticed how similar these names were till just now. Like they're clones or alien pod-comics

The Wiz was horrible. it was the worst thing ever created i really didnt like it i think the 'The Lizard of Oz' would probably be better. The Wizard of Oz though is officially my favorite movie ever created.

i saw the wiz but i think the lizard or oz is a stupid idae for a movie whats wrong the dudes in hollowood cant think of any thing new so they have to rip of someone eles work.
