Should I get Charter cable or Dish Network? Which really has the better deal? Is having cable really better than a satellite dish? Ive been getting mixed messages from both....Charter says dish sux, dish says charter sux, I dont have any of the other charter stuff, I have atnt phone and netscape internet, should i get the three charter services and "save more with the bundle"? Or should I keep my services and get Dish?

Neither Charter nor Dish Network “sux”.

AT&T offers a phone service, DSL internet, and Dish Network Satellite package. The package will save you money on all three products and is probably a better value than Charters package.

In general - satellite is cheaper with a better picture than cable.

Most people don’t own televisions that can display the difference in picture quality.

Unless you own a great television – I would choose whoever has the best price package.

Good Luck

I have DirecTV and Charter Cable Modem. I didn't switch to Charter Digital TV, so I'm paying the extra $10/mo.

I don't bundle because Charter doesn't carry NFL Network or the Sunday Ticket package. They also don't carry Superstation WGN, which, as a former Chicagoan, is a must.

The $10 I'd save by bundling didn't make up the lost channels, so I'm sticking w/ DirecTV.

I started with basic Charter cable and then they kept dropping channels so I finally switched to their Bundle which was great at first, but their rates just keep going up every year and I'm now considering switching to Dish or AT&T for internet and phone. I'm a senior on a limited income and $150/mo. is just TOO much!

You should definitely get charter. I've never actually had dish or satellite but I know people who have and I've never heard anything good about it. To get chater cable and charter cable internet it's around $100 (maybe more) a month. At least that's how it is around here. The internet is super fast and I've had charter for the past 5 years. I would suggest charter all the way.
