Buy tuna packed in water only. This is very low-fat and healthy. Your tuna is packed in oil and is not healthy.

P.S. Make sure you use Fat-Free Mayonnaise or mustard if you are making a sandwich.

The answer here is that not all fats are alike. The fat you'll find within many oily fishes, including tuna are rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

Quote:

"You may have heard about essential fats or essential fatty acids. They are aptly naked because your body needs them to function properly. They are required for normal cell, tissue, gland, and organ function and your body cannot make them itself. You must get them from the food you eat. There are two types of these essential fats; omega 3 and omega 6. They can be found in many grains, fruits, vegetables, flaxseed, walnuts and in particular oily fish. A good way to ensure you get enough fatty acids is to eat three portions of oily fish (tuna, mackerel, sardines, herring) a week. Tuna is also a great source of omega 3 but take care when buying canned tuna as sometime the omega is removed."

Quote:
"Cheese gives us more saturated fat than any other food, including beef. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average American eats 30 pounds of cheese a year, compared to 11 pounds in 1970."

I'm not a huge fan of dairy products because - all things considered - they're not very healthy for you when compared to other sources of calcium, etc. Still, I'm not going to lie, I love my occassional cheeses... but as with almost everything, moderation is key. ;-p

which is healthier depends on what else you eat and what you need to add to your diet. Too much of anything is not healthy. Eat a wide variety of foods. Make sure you eat enough fruit and vegetables and avoid excessive amounts of fat and refined sugars. You need carbs, too many will be converted into simple surgars in your blood but you need them. cut them out and you will cause yourself no end of health problems.
