I have been using Differn Cream for my mild acne on my face, and it only seems to be getting worse. I have way more pimples than I did to begin with, and I Moisturize constantly, but my usually very oily complexion is flaky and red. I have been using Differn for 8 months and I want to know if it has taken anyone else a very long time to see results? Also, I have thought about not using Differn anymore and trying to Proactiv. Any help? My skin is really not that bad and was only getting medicine for my chin area, but now I have pimples everywhere else! So I am not sure if the Differin is too strong or not strong enough? And if Proactiv really works, I am getting desperate. Please Help! thank you!

I had very good results with the Acne Line by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics at www.beeroyalproducts.com. It worked better for me than Proactiv and I didn't have to "join a club". You can buy the whole line at a discount or you can buy the product you want and reorder when you want. Plus it last A LOT longer than the Proactiv stuff and is sulfer based.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Go back to the dermatologist, the differin probably is not strong enough, and you should have seen results within a few months of starting it, I tried that and it did not work, so instead the put me on Tazorac cream which is much stonger and it works much better. Did they put you on any antibiotics with the differin? If not, then you should ask them to, because that helps out too.

If Clearasil and Oxy don't work for you, don't bother with Proactive - it's benzoyl peroxide based too.

Ask your doctor to let you try Klaron lotion. It's a clear gel (sulfur based) that dries so quickly, you can put your makeup on immediately.

Also, if your skin is naturally so oily, you don't really need to moisturize, just cleanse - according to my dermatologist. She is all about skin diseases and conditions like acne; she is not into hawking expensive cosmetics and treatments like so many others, which is why I trust what she says.
