in the bible, it says that wherever two or more people gather to talk about god is a church, whether it be in a bus or in a kitchen.

then why do the catholics have to have billion dollar churches?

dont' you think god would rather see them spend the money to help their brother man, instead of buying expensive robes and pointy hats, oh and billion dollar churches.

ANYONE WHO GIVES THEIR MONEY TO THOSE IN NEED WILL GET INTO HEAVEN BEFORE ANYONE WHO SPENDS THEIR MONEY ON EXPENSIVE ROBES AND BIG BLOCK CATHEDRAL CHURCHES.

catholics look at God in the wrong way, they dont understand the things He says. When God says "worship no one else but Me" He means it, and Mary isnt holy, she just gave birth to the Holy Son who is part of God.

God is a jelous God, and when catholics worship Mary instead of Jesus or God Himself, im sure that would make Him angry.

That is why religion should be viewed by the government as a business and TAXED! It isn't about a God but rather how much money they can get off of the word God!

After all if you stop going to a church people say why have you turned from God. Or if you question what the church says people say why do you question God!

Religion is not about helping anyone. Except mabye THEMSELF!!

The Church are the called out ones, the elect, not a building.

"ANYONE WHO GIVES THEIR MONEY TO THOSE IN NEED WILL GET INTO HEAVEN BEFORE ANYONE WHO SPENDS THEIR MONEY ON EXPENSIVE ROBES AND BIG BLOCK CATHEDRAL CHURCHES."

Bad theology. A works based salvation which is unscriptural. Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not according to our "good" works or lack of them. The elect will be saved, no matter how many "good" works they do or don't do, those not of the elect, will not be saved.

It does not say that wherever two or more gather there is a Church. It says "There am I in their midst". You sound like Judas who wanted to know why the expensive jar of ointment wasn't sold and spent on the poor instead of spent on Jesus. i don't understand why you do not like the Catholic Church because it seems you like to Pontificate every bit as much.

To Bro. Michael: Faith without works is dead says SCRIPTURE

if i were "God" and had anything like human emotions I'd be more pissed off about the frigging mess that's been made of the beautiful planet that was provided than over how much $ is spent on churches. the Bible god's first edict was for humans to be good stewards of the Earth. FAILURE! a beyond words tragic FAILURE!

PS. hahaha BrotherMicheal ... and no doubt you're one of the elect who is gonna be transported to heavenly reward without having lifted an earning finger while some nonChristian who has toiled all his life for the betterment of mankind is tossed headlong screaming into hell. must be nice to be one of the elect. get all kinds of perks for no good reason. you "holy elect" folks are a real hoot.

God will hold all accountable who misuse the funds collected for His work. While there is nothing wrong with church buildings, we must be careful not to be too extravagant. A church building is designed for Christians to come together in one place and worship. However you can meet anywhere you can all be accomodated. Monies are collected to spread the Word and to upkeep such buildings. It is not wrong to have a church building to meet in.

Big buildings....satellite broadcasting ....Fox "News" and the Republican Party....they are all empires built with God money. Don't single out the Catholics. They are no guiltier of this affront to the principles of Christianity than anybody else. That is why we, of the non-Christian community, feel that Christianity is a fraud in all its forms. It's all about the money.

Hey Doc! Catholicisms doctrine is not true Christianity but mixed pagan with The name of Jesus thrown in for the look of authority. Study it's background and get shaken done to your boot straps!Constantine worshiped the sun god till he died! They are like the Pharisees of Israel who made up there own rules not Gods, and dressed to appear righteous, yet inside were dead mans bones. Paying hard cash to be forgiven, or good alms to the poor is not your entrance ticket to heaven. Jesus the anointed one, paid our sin debt in full, It is by faith through grace that we are saved, not of works least any man should boast, it is the free gift of God to all who call upon Him.RIGHT DOING, DOES NOT CREATE RIGHTEOUSNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS CREATES RIGHT DOING! It moves you heart out of thankfulness, and gratitude, and so good deeds are an out pouring of the revelation of His love freely. We are called to serve, not be served.
