It depends on what region the DVD and Player are set to. DVD's from the US are set to Region 01, whild DVD's from Italy are set to 02. Also the US uses NTSC for Video and Europe generally uses PAL. You many have problems if your regions and video encoding are different formats.

Every DVD has a region code. If you use a DVD player from Italy it probably won't work since we are in diferent regions. If you bring your own player then it should be fine. If you make a copy of your DVD with a software such as DVD SHRINK which is free online then you can create a region free version that can be played on any DVD player. Many computer DVD players can also play multiple regions. Hope that helps.

There's no problem about NTSC/PAL, since all modern devices are able to "playback" NTSC video on a PAL TV; regional coding is a problem; you can get over it with a region free DVD player which are legally sold (even by such company like Sony, who's among the ones who demand regional coding); usually they cost more for no technical reason, but you can find low price player, also (like Amstrad D335, for instance).
And if you wonder, in Italy it's all legal, both buying region free player and buying DVD with different regional coding.

DVD disks have a region code that limits their ability to be played on players in different parts of the world. - So that identical players can be sold anywhere in the world, you can change the region your player is set for - but only 5 times- Then you are stuck with the last region that it was set for. DVD players have gotten very cheap, so you could buy a player just to play US disks in Italy.

There are also region free players that can play disks from anywhere in the world without restrictions- but they are not common.

It depends on the dvd and the dvd player. DVD's are imbedded with with a country code and can only be read by dvd players set up to read that code.

There r two systems namely PAL ,NTSC.
In each system the no of frames per second will vary. In india v use PAL sustem. it uses 25 fps.
so if US and ITALY use same system then no problem.
