Stand your ground, it is your choice who you want to be with. They take your power away by deciding that, go on a hunger strike do something to make them see the light. Sometimes you can't make people see your own point of view due to ignorance and eye for eye - people only believe what they want to believe.

I could see if it was abusive yeah but this sounds like it is like a cultural difference. Your parents need to grow up and quit deciding who you should love, you should do some soul searching also and decide for yourself.

Today there is so much racism, Cultural misunderstandings and unhealthy views about different Cultures standing in people's way too much.

How much control/hold on you will you give your parents? How much power do they have over you. What I am reading is you are both in love and it is non of your parent's business to meddle on who you should be loving. Your parents should be happy for you that someone in this planet loves you.

Depends on how old you are. If you're over 25, you need to make your own choices, with the understanding that your parents might never accept it.
If you're young enough to be living at home, you're probably not mature, strong or wise enough to understand the implications of dating outside your race, religion or culture.

I wouldn't want to lose my relationship with my parents or the person I love. I'd try to make my parents understand and get them to agree with us being lovers...my parents are pretty understanding.

Maybe if your parents disagree with it, then you're not meant for each other.
