Sounds like a wonderful fun filled day for those ladies who are still married.

i'd go. sounds like fun. i also like the worst bridesmaid dress idea. how funny!

My friend told me she saw two girls at her college taking pictures in their wedding dresses together. They were best friends apparently and wanted to take a pic in their dresses . My friends and i thought it was quite lame (funny but lame) so we joked about all doing that for fun. But a whole event, yeah that would be fun.

And yeah lots of ladies can't fit into their princess gowns any longer, but that would give them a goal again to lose some of the extra weight they've put on since being married, having kids etc.

If you are superstitious you might perceive that as being a sign of bad luck to wear your previously worn wedding dress. Obviously if you are getting married again the first marriage didn't go so well.

Personally I would want to start over fresh including the gown...Not a good idea...

In theory I think this would be fun, but in reality not so much.

So many brides diet and exercise like crazy to get into that dress, I would imagine a high percentage wouldnt fit their dresses today, especially after having kids bodys change. I think it would be a big downer for many women that they cant fit into their dress any longer. I know I would be bummed out by this. Plus you might not get that great of a turnout since if you cant fit your dress you dont have anything to wear.

I think it would be fun, but what is the point of your gala? Is it for charity? Because I would think that is the only way people would come. Otherwise brides are not typically repeat customers right?

Sounds like fun.... You should include bridesmaids too!!
Might get more people and it would be fun since everyone has at least 2 or 3 old bridesmaids dress in their closet.

OOOOOH I like the idea of including the bridesmaids, thatway if they are not married it can be like a girls night out, and you may get more gals there too!
