the baby will be your second cousin. i had this conversation with my cousin recently, we both had babies within 5 weeks of each other. We worked out that he baby would by my second cousin, and vice versa, but we couldn't decide what relation the to boys would be to each other. In the end we agreed to just call them cousins!!

First cousin once removed. Got this answer from a probate chart in my law school book, so the source is pretty good. A lot of people think that this is your second cousin, but a second cousin is actually your great aunt or uncle's grandchildren which would not be your cousin's kid.

Gross,,,,is the baby yours...I dont know why someone said that. But, believe me when you fill out paperwork at the dr.s they actually ask you that! For genetics reasons.
But you got the answer already....2nd cousins.
In some cultures, you can also be an aunt or uncle, depending on what sex you are (girl or boy)
When my cousins had their children, I am their Aunt. Just depends how your family culture is.

You will be the child's 1st cousin once removed, as they are the child (the "once removed" bit) of your 1st cousin. Your own children (if/when, etc) would be the child's 2nd cousins. When your cousin's child has children, they will be your 1st cousins twice removed and your children's 2nd cousins once removed.

2ND cousin if your cousin is the daughter of your Mum/Dad's, Brother /Sister, but 2ND cousin once removed if your cousin is the daughter of your Mum/Dad's , Brother/Sisters', Brother or Sister in law.
