In general, puppies are considerd adults at about 18 months. However, my own large dog breed isn't mature until 3 years old.
You can tell when the pup has stopped growing if you feel its ribs. Run your finger down the length of the longest ribs, and if they are knobby, the pup hasn't yet matured. If they are smooth, your dog is physically mature.

Small breeds such as ShihTzu, Maltese, etc., will usually be mature by a year, and medium size dogs like Shelties, Border Collies, Miniature Schnauzers won't be completely adult much before a year and a half. Many of the larger breeds, including labs, goldens, mastiffs and such take up to 3 years before they have a mentally mature adult brain.

Depends on the size entirely. x-small breeds 4 months
small - 6 months, medium - 1 year
large - giant breeds - 18 - 24 months! It is a good precaution to keep feeding puppy food at least until the dog is one year old. For big dogs even longer. But it is as always wise to keep a vets info on this in mind too.

It depends on the breed. Small dogs are usually mature at a year old. Giant breeds like Great Danes are not mature until they are 3 years old, and may fill out a bit more even after that.
That's a long puppyhood!

Most dogs are physically mature by the age of 6 months, but different breeds mature behaviorially at different periods. Boxers, for example, can behave very puppy-like for almost 3 years before they mature out of it.

smaller dogs reach adulthood at about a year, labs and those size dogs it takes 18 mos to 2 years (although a lab always believe's its a puppy), and giant breeds, such as my newfoundland can take over 2 years to reach full adulthood.
