At about 30k+ miles, now out of warrenty because of age, it has stalled 3 times in as many months while preparing to turn. The service light comes on but the dealer does not find a code. Upon occasion, engine will stall after starting acting like it can't keep the idle up (no service light). The engine is at operating temperature. Always dealer serviced and I think it began after dealer cleaned injectors.

blue GTI might have the answer but electronic throttle control code would have your check engine light on all the time.Your Murano is not out of warranty the transmission probably has a code in it for secondary pressure malfunction. Drive train coverage is 5year/50,000mi. You just need a better Nissan dealership. I am a master nissan technician and the murano is just about trouble free until your 17 year old gets behind the wheel. About one in several 1,000's Murano experence some kind of weird failure. I have one where the center display does not work no radio A/C or display only 14 miles on that one. I work at a large north Texas Nissan dealership we replace two or three CVT transmissions a year. Many of my co-workers own muranos. Correct Diagnostic is very important in finding out why the engine braking does not work properly in CVT transmissions. Try this after starting up put the murano in gear and floor the throttle safely in a straight line if the transmission causes surges and bucks there is a secondary cone clutch malfunction. Which could be either a Valve body or a transmission problem that also might cause stalling. Injector cleaning did not cause this. Did they do anything gearbox oil related? during the 30 thousand mile "wallet empty" servicing?

many nissans use a electronic throttle chamber which at times gets a carbon build up causing air flow to be limited cause stalling which it sounds like the dealership tried to clean it but didn't relearn idle air volume a must if throttle plate position is moved without ecu controlling it idle air volume is a procedure done with a nissan consult 2 scan tool I recommend calling nissan to see if they will goodwill the repair since the dealer screwed up
