I recently replaced the left CV Axle, outer tie-rods and both lower ball joints. I am still getting a growling sound from my front end. It is more noticable when I am decelerating, but it is there at all speeds. What do you think it could be? One "mechanic" told me it was the power steering unit, but I was leary of his answer when he told me that the cast outer tie rods were bent. (They are cast metal and are offset.)

wheel / Hub bearing, try moving the steering from side to side, whilst driving and if the noise grows or lesson with movement then its a bearing, make sure road is clear before you try this.
Cheers

Check to see it there is a small animal, perhaps a dog in the front end. If not, go find a mechanic who has some clue what he's doing, and get a second opinion.
