Why is Thailand so popular among the tourists?

I am wondered where to go on vacation. One of the places is Thailand

Thailand is culturely diverse, With Chinese, Indian,Lao and Cambodian influences. The cuisine is great and inexpensive, In the Chang Mai regiion up north there are various Hmong tribes that are very welcoming and very different from anything else in Thailand, Further south there are the beachs of Pattaya and Jomtien as well as a diverse night life. Even further south there is Phuket Island and Koh Samui Island that is very popular for vacationers. The Thai people are very welcoming and there is not the sense of Menace that you find in other developing countries. Medical care in most tourist areas is on par with most western countries. Outside of the tourist areas the people are genuinely friendly and welcoming. And of course there are many activities available here from Temple tours to mountain treking to Scuba diving.

well- they have pretty much thrown alot of stuff at you.. and the variety is wide too - - I like that Denise was disatisfied w/the quality of the ladies.. this is great stuff.. lol..

The statistics are that most people enjoy their vacations here, some become addicted and never want to leave, so, odds are you will have a good vacation here whatever you are looking for..

and abt the only thing I can add is that Thailand is not only popular amongst tourists - - Thai people are proud and love their country very much..

As an ex-pat living out here in Thailand I always say to people "Never come here once unless you can afford to keep coming back!" If you like the place you won't want to go anywhere else. The Thai women, despite what Denise says (jealousy?) are beautiful. Whilst people mention prostitution, paedophiles and drugs just remember that all three are illegal. Get yourself found guilty of any sexual behaviour with someone underage (even if she or he is a sex worker) or caught with drugs could mean the rest of your life in prison here, that's if you have any rest of your life as you could be executed.
Last night we, my wife and I, went to a Charity night, buffet, BBQ, live music on a beach at sunset. Fabulous food, as much as you could eat, for 7 pounds a head. February on a beach? No snow & ice here.

Food, Scenery, Value for the dollar......having said all that....it's easier for women to travel in Thailand.....most guys I have known have been stalked by hookers, and it wasn't always obvious that they were hookers, and not obvious that they were transvestites!!!! be careful, go with a woman if at all possible, it's one of the places in the world where it is much better to be a woman, no one, not even Thai men, bother us!

VERY friendly people, gorgeous landscape, phenomenal beaches, super cheap, the weather is quite nice, food is ooohhh soo nice. There are tons of historic and cultural things to do and see. Great vacation spot.
