If he feels that the child will be better off with him, then I say help him to fight for the baby. Yes, 16 is very young for a parent but its not very often that we hear about 16yr old young men wanting custody of their children. Let him know that whatever he needs you to do, you're gonna be there to support him.

I am really sorry this is happening to you and your family. A baby is a blessing no matter what age you have it. 16yrs old is very young and I hope the baby and both parents get the support and help from family. Earlier poster is right, unless you have proof of abuse, their is nothing you can do. But, you can tell your brother he can be there for his baby in every way, both money (get a job after school) and love and attention. Good luck and I wish nothing but love and support for you, your family and the baby.

Your brother needs to go to court and get visitation with his child. Other then that there isn't really anything any of you can do unless you can prove she's an unfit mother. For now just go to court and try to get the baby every other weekend. Then if you think something is going on report her to CPS. Good luck.

babies get sores on their bums all the time. That doesn' t necessarily mean that the mother is neglecting or abusing him. There isn't anything that he can do, unless he can prove otherwise. They should check into visitation options, that is the most that he can get. The more she works with him the easier it'll be too.

unless the girl is abusing the child, there is nothing that you can do. babies get sores on their bottoms, it happens. the only thing that you can do is go to court and get his visitations rights set up. however,he will probably have to pay child support to do this.
