I went through this for about 6 months or so after my relationship ended and it was hard for me to understand too. He hurt me worse than anyone, and my children, and for lack of a better answer, it was because I loved him so much but that hurt too much so those feelings of hate became greater and greater until the love disappeared. You will be amazed how great the emotion "hate" is. If you truly were hurt badly even though you loved him, hate will replace all those feelings of love. I had a couple people tell me that "oh you still have feelings for him" because I didn't verbally bash him, pursue legal action or whatever, but I truly had to rid my system of him, all together, and start over from square one. You need to do this too if he is truly repulsive to you, the thought of being with him. Its not strange this is normal in the grieving process, you will emerge even better than before! trust me

Because it's easy to like someone that is made up in your head. I don't know why it happens but after a little while we all start forgetting about the reasons we broke up and start thinking about the good things.....Just keep reminding yourself why you're not together. This is how ex's end up back together.

maybe you have unfinished business with him. Like you two never got closure from your relationship and still have things to work out. Maybe your of hate are really of love. Just some things i have experienced in the past. Good Luck

Feelings that you have for him have not died yet. You probably force yourself not to think of him because of the way he makes you feel but there are still some feelings there that need closure. Write the way you feel about him down on a peice of paper or type it in a journal. Keep it private and keep in mind as you are writing that only you are allowed to view it This works for me.

Maybe you have true feelings for him in your heart and you just don't realize it. Its just that sometimes people don't know how to let go of your ex and just try to hang out with him like friends but not that close. Or ask another boy out, if you spend more time with him than you start to forget your ex.

Deep down inside you are still hung up on him. Or maybe you broke up and some things were unresolved. There could be a lot of reasons. We have all been through this. Don't stress about it just move on.

He's an "ex" for a reason, right? If you two are this far, then chances are it won't work out if you tried again. There are a billion fish in the sea, keep fishing.

It's not weird, it pre-occupation with your mind. You just need something to distract you that you can focus thoughts on. A new hobby or romantic interest should do the trick.

Maybe there was no closure between the two of you. Sometimes unfinished business keeps an anxious heart. Wish you well in seeking completeness.
