I am agnostic, but I am wondering for Christians who believe in the soul and all it entails, if you truly believe in soul-mates. Do you think that our souls are "spiritually" linked to one other person by God's design? Can we have more than one soul-mate? Just want opinions. Thanks.

I am a Christian who believes that it's possible to have a soul-mate because I was blessed to have had one. He is in Heaven, now but we were married for 8 years & had a connection on all levels. We believed God brought us together because there were too many "coincidences" & details that , had they gone any other way, we would never have met. He was a wonderful, loving decent man & I miss him very much.

Yes, I believe in soul mates. I believe that God puts us on the path to meet our soul mate if we listen to Him, but I also believe no matter if they are soul mates, you still have to work on the relationship. It won't always be honky dory. Also if u make bad choices you end up with divorce

I wish I do but at this point of my life I can't afford myself to think so romantically. I simply believe in the humanity of a mankind and that we all could be loving and understanding to each other...
But still deep down in my soul i believe in soul-mates...

Absolutely not. I believe that people can become soulmates through years spent together, where they both learn each other so well that they are as one. But I do not believe that God has created this person for him, and this person for her, and this person for him, etc. I believe that God has created mankind, and the system by which mankind procreates. There may be people out there who are more suited for us, and some that are less suited for us. To please God, I feel we should find one who we fit well with, and let the match bring God glory.

I believe God has a future spouse for all of us ( not necessarily "soul mate"); after all, he commanded us to be fruitful and multipy.

Husbands need wives; Wives need husbands.

Ephesians 5 is a good chapter on our co-dependence.

Song of Solomon elaborates on the sexual part of human nature and the soul.

Solomons wife always says "Daugters of Jerusalem, do not awaken love until it so desires"

I don't believe that God pairs up people in advance at birth, and that only one person is right for the other, but I do believe He had a hand in my meeting and marrying my husband. I kept going in the wrong direction, and He kept steering me back where I needed to be to end up with my husband. I am very thankful for that!

Im christian, and yes, God is the one who already has someone out there for you. Its God who put two people together. If you decide to make your own choice, it wont work, and that is how divorce happens, you cant just marry anyone. God has someone for you and it will all fall into place eventually. Dont look for it, just live and it will find you. =)

No, I don't believe that.

There are SOME for whom God picks a spouse, but most need to seek them out for themselves. Although prayer and listening to God's answers always helps in finding one who we will love and enjoy for our whole life.
