How should the invitation read? We are throwing it for ourselves.

If it's not a formal invitation, maybe say something like-"we've got lots of reasons to party! Please come help us break in our new house and celebrate our anniversary; we'd love to have you there".
Or, "It's time for a get together! Please come help us celebrate our new house and our 10 year (or whatever) anniversary!"
You get the picture...have fun!

hmmm that's a tough one well you could say in Honor of our ?? anniversary we now have a lovely home we would like to share it with you we have put our dreams into this and believe you will be inspired to so please be our guest on etc good luck and congrats!!!!!!!!!
