Humans are Triune...which means we have spirit, soul, and body. Spirit represents our relationship with God. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit we are spiritually alive.

2 Corinthians 5:17 promises: any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. We have Salvation because it is provided as a Gift from God through His Grace. It is not do to any effort on our part.

In contrast, Unbelievers are spiritually dead, which is why they are unable to discern and understand Truth.

1 Corinthians 2:14 says: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Unfortunately, many confuse Spirit with the Soul, which often causes Believers to doubt they are saved, or deceives many into believing that acts and works can earn or secure their Salvation.

The Soul in simple terms, represents our emotions, thoughts, will, reasoning ability, human opinions, etc. Many consider this to be our personality. This is why we can not rely upon feelings and intellect when it comes to having a relationship with God.

Many Christians may say and do the right things, follow religious traditions for study, teaching, and preaching, and "by human standards" may appear to be "good" people, but if their Spirit has not been reborn they are spiritually dead.

This is why many self-proclaimed Christians, do evil things in the name of God, and False Prophets continue to multiply. The Body is of course the physical part of who we are.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 says: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessings, Miji

The spirit is the shell of the soul. The spirit is the life-force in all living things and is transferred through the liquids in the living person/ animal/ plant etc. The soul is the consciousness within that makes us ask these type of questions because it functions with an intelligence that we are yet to fully comprehend.

Praise be to Allah.

According to what I know, the spirit is somehow a sole with higher and more intellectual levels

I'll do my best to explain this in other ways both are 1 thing but at different levels of maturity.
when the baby is born and children are growing up, they have soul but not spirit while adults -who can differ right from wrong- have spirit not sole. so u cant find a children for example with HIGH or LOW spirituality but spirituality is adhered to INTACT adults, as I cant say mentally retarded adults have spirit. note that spirits can be called in manners of High and Low while souls cant, as every LIVING creature has a soul but not every living creature has a spirit. High spirits means whose persons make merits and good things while low spirits means whose persons make vices and bad things, I tried my best and good question.

According to the Book of Mormon, the spirit is that eternal entity that was born of the Father in heaven. The spirit is often thought to be the soul, but it is the joining together of the body and spirit that constitutes the soul.

A spirit is an ivisible creature or person such as angels, God is the surpreme Spirit Person, the creator. Demons and Satan are also spirit creatures. A soul on the other hand is flesh and blood, Genesis 2:7 and man became a living soul, the Bible says of all moving creatures upon the earth, that they are souls. The two souls who would thumbs down the truth, if they don't wake up will be as manure on the surface of the earth.

A spirit is pure, innocent, all in one being that has all the necessities of being I AM. The soul, on the other hand, is a spirit who is ignorant of its being as the image of God and instead clinging on false belief that he/she is a physical body wherein all efforts are exerted to protect himself/herself from harm. Ergo, the soul is another word for ego. And may I add, God is a spirit who understood and is aware of himself as a spirit( as the I AM) therefore has no soul that lives and dies as a consequence. He is the thought of spirit, eternal, conscious, aware and very much alive.
