shirdi Sai baba wasn't a God. But he was something very close to it. During his whole life he miraculously cured a lot of people of there diseases. He was a preacher of humanity and equality. since we Indians believe taht every being is a part of god and Shirdi Sai Baba performed some tasks which benefited the mankind, we worship him. Worship, not just to praise him but remember that there was a being just like us, who treated everyone equally, who helped out the needy, and now he's attained eternity, not in physical form but in our hearts...

I don't think of God as an organism, and as neither male nor female. The male pronouns are just a figure of speech. God isn't always portrayed as male in every culture. In Hinduism, for example, God sometimes takes the form of a female.

Sai baba is God, just like you and I are God.
It would be easiest to say he is a saint - he helps liberate others.
Some follow him or are devoted to him, but he is not to be worshipped. He wants you to see your own divinity.

If u r going to call one person as GOD I think he/she must have the following qualities:
1.he must SOVEREIGN GOD,no body come and give him advice to sustain this whole creation
2.he must JUST GOD.
3.he must LOVING GOD.
4.he must have ETERNITY.
5.he must OMNICIENT GOD
6.he must OMNIPOTENT GOD
7.he must reveal himself to us otherwise we may not know him.because we r finite.he is infinite.
8.he must be the SAVIOUR to this whole world.
9.ultimate AUTHORITY is him only bec there is no division in authority.
10.He must be HOLY GOD.
IF any GOD fails in any one of these we may not call him as a GOD.
Think on these qualities and decide ur self and find ur creator.
Think intelectually.Because we r human beings GOD give us good intelectual power but not to animals.GOD loved us to that extent.
