i run and walk on my tredmill too

Don't worry about calories. The best way to lose weight is to just eat healthier foods in smaller portions.

Exercise is great as well. Remember, that your body doesn't start to burn fat until you've been working for at least 20 minutes. Which means if you're only working out 15-20 minutes a day, you really aren't burning any fat.

I'm going to say between 1500 and 2000, but instead of counting calories so much why don't you make sure your not eating or drinking anything with white sugar or white flour they are both bad for you. Eat more whole grains, fruit and veggies, quality meat and fish. Eat several small meals per day instead of 3 large meals. Drink lots of water and make sure you do some weight training between your walking and running on the treadmill.

hiya, I'm also 14 and on diet. counting calories can become a bit stressful =P just try and eat healthily and in moderation. eat lots of natural food like fruit and vegetables, and cut down on processed things

A 14 year old lass should NOT be on a diet!

You still haven't fully grown and need your calories.
