That is not true.

Keep in mind, some periods are short, some are long. Not only that, but a female may have residual tissue that will come out after her true period is over, so it may seem like it is still the period but not. There are other reasons a female may bleed as if it were a period and then it may not be as well.

There are also instances when there could be an internal problem causing issues with ovulation. A female could ovulate multiple eggs at varying times.

There are other issues, but bottom line is, you could theoretically get pregnant at any time.
