I am making empanadas(a turnover with meat filling) I would like the masa (dough) to have more flavor? Any ideas as to what I can add?

i'm a cook and better yet i'm mexican lol. in all the years ive lived in mexico never were the tortillas seasoned with more than a little salt, if you want flavor, you gotta focus on the meat

Maybe finely diced sun-dried tomatos or some chilies, also diced fine.

Salt, garlic salt, cracked pepper, cumin any spice that would mix well with the flavors of your filling.

Substitute beef stock or some other flavorful liquid for some of the water.

you could probbaly add any type of seasoning, salt, pepper, a little chili powder.. anything to give it a kick.. or flavor! look at whats in your pantry!
