My opinion is that anytime is a good time to bring your child. I mean, obviously if it's a newborn they're going to have no clue what's going on, they'll have no memory of the experience in the future, and they may become overwhelmed. If you have a child that young you may want to skip out on the trip, but the child's a year old or older I think it's fine to bring them. I don't have children yet, but if I can afford it when I'm older I'll try to bring them at least once a year every year until they're adults. A lot of people think it's not worth bringing young children because they won't remember the experience. To be honest, I hardly remember my first experience at Walt Disney World when I was 11. This wouldn't stop me from bringing my own children, though. The vacation's not JUST for the children is it? It's for the parents and adults, too. Even if the children don't remember the experience, you always will.

5 sounds about right.

I took my child there at 2.5. He was old enough to walk and enjoy things. He knew the characters and had a good time. However, now years later, he can't remember much. So, while he had a good time, it's not like he's got lasting memories. All he remembers is that it was fun and he wants to go again.

Under 3, kids are free. Which is why we chose to take him there for this early trip. Not much lost, except for his airfare.

Bring a stroller. While some walking is necessary, it's easy to get around the parks with a stroller. There is plentiful stroller parking (but be aware that it's not locked and it's possible to have your stroller taken on accident/on purpose). If you want, you can rent strollers.

More than walking, I'd caution two things. First is that your child has to be good at waiting. Even if the low season (we went in spring after spring break was over, so it was nearly empty and the weather was still wonderful), you will have to wait 30-45 minutes for some things. Parades to start. Meals to be served. To get into an attraction or on a ride. If your child is "NOW!" kind of kid, it's not going to be a fun trip.

The other thing is that certain things can be scary for little kids. While Disney has a lot for kids, some things can be deceiving. You kid might like pirates, but could be in sheer terror when he comes face-to-face with them in the Pirates of the Caribbean or Peter Pan rides. Even rides that seem innocuous have a lot of dark, loud noises, overloaded stimuli, and unfamiliar surroundings. So, younger children might be intimidated. Of course, your child may LOVE even the most intense experience.

So, I'd say 5 is good for a first trip. There will be plenty s/he will enjoy.

I would say btwn 5-10 is the best age. Kids will get tired walking around but if you stop a lot to go on rides, to rest, etc. this won't matter as much. You want to make sure they are old enough to remember the experience a little!!
They also have those park hopper tix so that you don't have to do it all in one day - you can split it up.

Oh, you are able to deliver childrens of any age. only verify that your infants get an outstanding sort of sleep before the holiday, and by the holiday. My mothers and dads took my while i grew to become right into a million, and that i've got been going ever considering that, somewhat, i would be unable to truly ever not likely to Disney. I remember little or no from while i grew to become into 3, yet i be attentive to i grew to become into drained for all time. There might desire to be some lines, yet you are able to flow interior the off season. I recommend going sometime while that's cooler, alongside with Nov. - Feb. it is the final time to flow simply by fact's in many cases not too warm, humid, or wet, that can somewhat break a childrens holiday! only verify you have each little thing planned out before hand, as this makes going with childrens extra straightforward, a minimum of that's what my mothers and dads say. additionally, remember that probability is that she would be able to be 4 by the time you flow, so there should not be lots of a concern. there's a ton of stuff for sons and daughters to do at Disney worldwide, surprisingly interior the Magic Kingdom. she would be able to fulfill all the princesses and Mickey and something of the gang. she would be able to journey on Cinderella's Golden Carousel, or flow on a flight with Dumbo. so as that your little female can remember the holiday, you will possibly desire to take some video or the reports that she has for the duration of the holiday! i'm hoping you and something of your loved ones have a super holiday to the main magical place on earth. satisfied Earth Day! ~EE

Any age really - it all depends on the parents. My parents took me to Disneyland when I was only weeks old. And now we have adorable photos of me with Mickey as a very young baby.
Disney has a great stroller rental service - if kids get tired, they can just crash in the stroller! :)

I think the kids need to be at least 6-7 yrs. old. Anytime before then is a waste. They won't remember it at all so what's the point of going at that age?

At that age, they don't get tired as easily either. Also, at that age they'd be more willing to get on rides than if they were younger.

definately between 5-7, your right...kids do get tired of walking around. To really enjoy it, and to have the child enjoy it, i would wait until at least they have an intrest, and are not afraid of big goofy creatures just walking around..ha. good luck and hope you have a good time on vacation!

I'd say at leasy 4 b.c otherwise they can't do very much b/c of the height requirement for most of the rides. aslo be prepared to go in the morning then come back to the hotel for a "break or nap" time then go back at night. Id suggest staying with disney at hone of their hotels b/c of te pure convience of everytihng you don't have to worry about car rental or anythng the pick you up from the aiport and take you to your hotel and they take you to the parks from your hotel it's a great experience.

7, 6 yr and younger would love it but wouldnt be able to last all day, and a day at Disney World is EXPENSIVE. you dont wanna have to leave because they are tired and cranky. By 7 they can fight through it so they can go on that next ride.

I took my child when she was 4 and six
She enjoyed it better when she is six
I still got up early, left the park lunch time, went to the pool, then back to the park later
Some children are ten and can not take walking around Disney.
When you go, plan your day around your child
If they need a pool break, or a nap, let them have one
