Some of my family members use Johnson oil and apply on hair. I was wondering whether this is good or not good for hair because it says its good for skin. Also, it says its "baby" oil!

Any clue?

Also, is there any hair oil which is good for adults?

No it isn't, not at all. In fact its really bad cause it clogs pores and that can lead to thinning hair. Besides there are really good all natural oils to use on hair like olive oil or my favorite; almond oil, or even safflower oil. There are many hair care products that use mineral oil, which is all baby oil is, but those products should be avoided. Mineral oil is greasy and not absorbed by the hair or the scalp it just sits there not doing anything good for your hair. It doesn't really even moisturize skin, although if you use it on your body after getting out pf a bath it does make the skin feel soft, but there have been a few web sites that claim the use of baby oil accelerates the aging of the skin. I'd go with shea butter or cocoa butter instead.

I really don't know. I have dry hair and I use some of the J&J baby oil after I wash my hair along with a hair smoother just to break down the oil, otherwise the hair will just look greasy. I just got my hair cut and the lady that cut my hair said I had healthy hair. I don't use it all the time. I usually use the blend once a week.

oh no it's horrible for your hair!! any kind of hair oil is bad because when you put it in your hair, then wash it out (whether a few minutes after you put it in in the shower, or a day later in your next morning shower) it strips your hair of your natural oils. then it becomes even more oily then before cause your hair trys to make up for the oil that is no longer there... does this make sense? one product that works like a charm for dry hair is biosilk. it works wonders

I'm sure baby oil isn't going to hurt your hair, but I would suggest going to your nearest beauty supply store and getting some proper oil for your hair.

Because your scalp produces oil naturally, I would not put an type of oil in my hair. Just don't wash your hair everyday and it will be healthy.
