I updated my Adobe Reader to the latest version -- I don't like it at all. There's a...something... that let's you take your computer back a day or week earlier, does anyone know where I can find it? I checked Control Panel, it wasn't there. And I'd rather not remove the program if there's no guarantee I'll revert back to my previous version with all of my data in tact. Please help. Many thanks.

It sounds like you're looking for System Restore (found in the My Computer Properties) or Norton's GoBack. IF you have GoBack, you can easily go back to your previous version with all data files intact because GoBack actually takes a snapshot of everything on your computer at a given time and allows you to put everything back the way it was at that time (programs and files included). However, System Restore, may not work as completely because it simply restores the Registry entries and not necessarily restores the program. System Restore does not remove your data files. System Restore takes programs that were installed after the restore point out of the Add/Remove Software list in the control panel but does not actually remove the program files. They have to be manually removed after a System Restore. It might be better to copy your data files to another location, uninstall the new version of Adobe Reader and reinstall the older version that you liked. Then move your data files back to their original location. If you have been doing regular backups, you may be able to just restore your backup. GoBack also has a special feature that allows you to run in "Test Mode" to try out new programs. If you do not like the program, it is a one button click to go back to your previous version.

That is called "System Restore" and is located in all programs -> Accessories -> System Tools. That utility is not for restoring programs, but drivers and system settings. So all you have to do is uninstall the new version and reinstall the older one. If you notice that some settings are lost, you can try afterwards a system restore from a previous date. Make sure you haven't installed anything else though, like patches. You will have to reinstall.

System Restore, but you must have Windows XP. It can be found under Start Menu - Programs (All Programs) - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore.

Hope that helps!
