Search for all ATA flight specials they start from $119.00 to Honolulu from Oakland and $129.00 from LA.(one-way)
Book early at least 3 months in advance to confirm price.

Your best bet is going to be one of the bargain travel sites such as www.Expedia.com, www.Hotwire.com or www.CheapTickets.com. A travel agent may be able to get you a better price, but probably not.
Also, at www.Priceline.com you can name your price but you get stuck with what ever flights and times they choose.
So, check them all out, play with the travel days and read the small print, some restrictions apply and most are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

Check southwest.com and Sidestep. I know there are a lot of discount carriers starting to fly to Hawaii, so you should be able to find a good deal.

You can check out Cheap Tickets on the net and see what they have or check on ATA, American Trans Air, as somtimes, they have good rates to fly here. Good Luck...........
