Ok, so someone just left a remark in the question about the gay son that said "don't listen to the atheists" ... can I get a show of hands of non-atheists who think that homosexuality is OK? We atheists would like to know.

I trust that there are a lot of believers out there who are open minded about something as harmless as love.

I, seldom if ever, show my cards. With that being said, I will do it, if I know I can rattle on person at the table and put them on tilt, I will show a bluff (only once during a whole session of poker). But, you can bet your bottom dollar, I won't be bluffing for awhile after I do that. I am a tight/aggressive player so showing the one bluff will get me some action that I otherwise would not get. If you are a solid tight player you almost have to show a bluff in order to get action for your good hands. That is for texas holdem. Omaha both hi and 8ob and all stud variants I only show cards at showdown, players are looser as a whole in those games. 2/7 triple draw if you are in the hand folks are gonna see your cards unless y ou brick on third draw.

Christians are not supposed to condemn others. Christians should make as big a deal out of gossip as homosexuality as the Bible says not to be talebearer. It's just that everyone is interested in other people's sex lives, gay or straight.

I want to know why people answered that as if it were a genuine question-it was plagiarised from another website which I thought might have been obvious. And given that the boy actually commited suicide it's a bit ghoulish to post it.

Homosexuals have historically been venerated for their differences. They were often found to be the village shaman because they were considered to be "in between" worlds.

Non-athiest that thinks homosexuality is normal....

"I trust that there are a lot of believers out there who are open minded about something as harmless as love."

Love is one thing...homosexuality is another.
You may love your dog...but you would not have sex with it.
Linking things like love and sex is an error.

I would not say it is right or OK...but I don't condemn homosexuals. I have friends who are gay...but I don't have to think it is alright.

Yes - there are a number of churches that are open and welcoming to homosexuals. While it may vary from congregation to congregation, typically United Church of Christ, United Methodist, Disciples of Christ churches are all open to all people

People like that poster should not be allowed to have kids!

It doesn't have to be true because there actually are people like this in the world. Doesn't have to be true of that other poster though.

I am a deist and I find the Christian ignorance to be intolerable.

God does not care who we sleep with or who we love. Paul was the homophobe, not Jesus.
