There is no way to find out the cost per click for each ad as Adsense does not disclose the figures. But it will depend on:

1. amount the advertiser bid on which can go up and down, depending on who are advertising and how many are advertising

2. smartpricing -- even if the advertiser bid $1 per click for your keyword, if you are smartpriced, then you will not receive the $1 per click but it can be as low as $0.10 (though nobody knows -- except that you can feel your revenue go down)

What you can do is to just compute your EPC or earnings per click which is the average of all the ads on your site (total number of clicks / number of impressions). Some sites can have very low EPC of $0.10 while some sites have EPCs of $2 or even better. It all depends on the keyword, how you implemented the ads, etc.

Just to give you encouragement, some people are making VERY GOOD money with Adsense. PlentyofFish.com makes millions from the program http://plentyoffish.wordpress.com/2006/06/07/small-companies-google-adsense-is-the-future/ . While my site may not be on the same league as PlentyofFish in terms of Adsense income, I make 5-figures a month from Adsense

5 cents is a good average, though it is conservative. I have seen upwards of 16 cents RPC. Also, adsense returns about 0.7% conversion rate.

In my experience Google has been better than Yahoo!, but only barely. And, if the winds shifted, the could swing the other way.

Have you considered Ask?

It depends on the bid of the keyword or ad.Consider a ad about hosting ,when a visitor clicks your adsense ad about hosting you can get a minimum of 1.2$ to a maximum of 3$.

It varies according to keyword. So choose the high paying keyword.

Google Adsense - It works well and on a few of my sites I make $700 to $900 per month!
AdSense is an advertising program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text and image advertisements on their sites. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-ads-displayed basis. Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user's geographical location, and other factors. Those wanting to advertise with Google's targeted ad system may sign up through AdWords. AdSense has become a popular method of placing advertising on a website because the ads are less intrusive than most banners, and the content of the ads is often relevant to the website.
It currently uses JavaScript code to incorporate the advertisements into a participating site. If it is included on a site which has not yet been crawled by the Mediabot, it will temporarily display advertisements for charitable causes known as public service announcements (PSAs). (Note that the Mediabot is a separate crawler from the Googlebot that maintains Google's search index.)
Many sites use AdSense to monetize their content and some webmasters work hard to maximize their own AdSense income. They do this in three ways:
1.They use a wide range of traffic generating techniques including but not limited to online advertising.
2.They build valuable content on their sites; content which attracts AdSense ads and which pay out the most when they get clicked.
3.They use copy on their websites that encourage clicks on Ads. Note that Google prohibits people from using phrases like "Click on my AdSense ads" to increase click rates. Phrases accepted are "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisements".

I had tried my luck with adsense, but they pay you very less. Recently I found this site thru my friend, and I made $ 50 in the last 3 days!!. You'll have to complete surveys and take up free offers. It's free to join. The more people you refer the more you'd earn.Hope this helps you in someway.
