Nothing. It used to mean something to me but, it just reminds me of how lonely I am.

Nothing unless its celebrated with a longtime g/f.

I've had many bad experiences with it. Problem is, when I've had short dating relationships with girls during Valentines day and I've bought them roses or planned something nice to show I like them, most have freaked out, & broke up with me soon after. They acted like I was proclaiming my undying love and asking for committment or something? I wasn't at all, just trying to be thoughtful!!!!!!!! Why do girls freak out over stuff like that??

I am 48 yrs old and the meaning has changed over the years..... It started out as a day of *give me*, then became * HEY, remember ME !*, then it became * Do you love me ?*, then *How MUCH do you love me?*, and now it realy means * I LOVE YOU ?*.... Tho it was meant to be a special day for love I think it has turned into a to much commercial *money* day, but I also acknowlege it started out that way for me as a young girl, It seems to have gotten worse, it seems to be about what wife gets the most expensive gift from her husband and the husbands get left out of the whole deal...... NOT FAIR !!!!!, so the day has gotten out of wack...... what it should be called is *do NOT take me for granted day *.... both for men and women....... God bless

Its my favorite holiday other than my anniversary! I am a romantic. I love everything about this day, celebrating love!! It gives the man in my life a little push to express himself and show me in a sweet, cute, romantic way that he loves me. It makes me feel special and loved and lucky. And I do the same for him, and I hope he feels the same way. I love it!

I think it is a day to be thankful that you are loved and thankful for the ones in your life that you love. I am not your traditional woman. I don't think its flowers, candy or gifts, its a day to be thankful for all the wonderful people that enhance your life everyday.

For me, simply being with the one I love. For others it's just another day.

It's a day for doing something sweet for the love of your life.
It does not have to cost a lot ...it only has to come from the heart.

Nothing. Why we have to mark a day of the year to celebrate and send gift your loved ones. Gift can't buy real love.
