My significant other doesn't believe that my guy friend is really a friend. He thinks my friend has a hidden aganda and he knows this because he a guy too (his reasoning not mine) The thing is that we have been friends for 6 years and nothing even almost happened, ever! Even my female friends think that something is up. Does everybody think that guys and girls can't be just friends?

Sure...I don't see why not. Just so long as they want ONLY to be your friend and they realize you have an s.o. Also just so long as you want only to be their friend. :)

Depends on the type of guy, i think some guys can be just friends with girls, not including gay guys.. there are two possible reasons to why hes your friend, 1) he loves you, but respects that your in a relationship therefore he wont do anything 2) hes really just agreat friend who has no hidden agenda.
Seeing as your friends and bf have seen something more may lean the answer to be more number 1 then number 2, but he truly knows, so seeing as hes such a good friend, ask him if he has a hidden agenda.. thats the only way youl truly know..
dont however fall out with him because of pressure your bf puts on you.. he maybe a friend for life, and to lose him because of an over jealous bf is one of the worst things ever.

Absolutely! I have a best friend who's a guy whom I went to school with; he wound up in the military, got married and has two kids. We don't talk anymore since he's stationed all over the place. Nothing ever happened between us =) He'll always be close to me and vice versa =)

its all about if u fancy him or not. If u fancied him at the start of ur relationship and got over it, then i believe you can be best friends. But not if a sexual attraction grows. Cos then youre just playing with fire and innocent things like giving each other massages after a hard day or changing ur clothes in front of him become not so innoncent.

it depends on everyone's personalities. For me, no. I think it leads to temptation. Especially because if you are really good friends, you probably share details of your current relationship with the male friend. Which isn't right. The only way I see it working is if the male friend is friends with your boyfriend also. Even if it is totally innocent, I'm sure your boyfriend feels threatened.

not every person of the opposite sex is a potential date... some ppl just give off the friend vibe.... i have guy friends who are like additional brothers... and i could never imagine them as anything more... it would just be so awkward... but on the flip side... friends can turn into the best lovers..... it all depends on the dynamics of the two ppl involved to decided whether or not it could blossom into anything more

yes i have a friend like that, and we have discused this on many occations, and she is very good looking, and we have come to understand that sex would change our relationship, but that does not mean we cant have fun, one night we were talking and i mentioned i was horny she mentioned she was having some of the same feeling, so instead of having sex we decided to just get naked and take care of ourselves right there in front of the other and that was fantastic and it got rid of the old thoughts about wondering what she looked like naked, and i think were better friends now.

I have many guy friends... and my boyfriend never gets jealous. Besides its better to have guy friends because they cant take away your boyfriend.... I only have three really good friends.... I've always said its better guys on your side than girls..... some are really bitches.

Yes it can be a Platonic friendship. The one who questions it is insecure. My best friend is also a male and we have been friends since 2003.

Of course guys and girls can be friends. Many of my best friends are guys.. and none of them i would even consider dating... they are more like brothers to me.
