As a dentist you will prescribing drugs and working with anesthesia so I would say courses in anatomy, physiology, chemistry (organic and inorganic) would be good choices. You will need to take advanced math courses to get you through the sciences as well. A life sciences major and math minor would be a good pre-dental program. Best way to know for sure, ask a dentist.

Probably business. My daughter was looking into going to Medical School, the requirements for Med School and Dental School are the same. For Med School you can also study anything as long as you get the pre-reqs and you get high marks on the MCAT. A business background will be helpful for anyone.
