You're not hooked up to the net when you pop in the cd for the first time. Go online (broadband preferred) when you pop in a cd and you'll get your listings. After that when you pop in the cd whether on or offilne your song info and album art will appear everytime you insert it or play the songs from the hard drive.

If this doesn't work get the album info manually using a different search and if that doesn't work then enter it all manually.

You get "unkown artist" when the CD isn't made by a company. For instance, if you have an Alice in Chains CD, Media player can read off the CD the names, since not only are the song titles on the CD, but also off the internet. Your only options are to either name the tracks and the artist youself or get the CDs from someone, or buy them from the artist.

Apart from the obvious and assuming you are connected to the internet, not all CD's are recognised by the CD database that Media Centre connects to.
