If you get lucky enough to become an MC good for you. I work with alot of them and am a little envious. The rating just recently merged so there are a couple different jobs you may get. Photographer, Jounalist, Audio/Visual tech, etc. Your sea to shore rotation is something close to 4yrs/3yrs. Usually on big decks like Carriers and Amphibs. You can also get flight certified and spend a good amount of time flying and taking pics from the sky. If you would like more info feel free to email me. Oh, and yes like the one guy said you will be doing some scrapping, painting and waxing because all rates in the Navy are sailors first!

What's with these people who want to join the military and then say they don't want to get sent to war. The military trains for war. It's what they do. It isn't some 9-5 office job at a bank somewhere. What you want to do just might get you sent to take pictures of Marines in combat. So keep that in mind.

You will get to see some cool stuff. You can be sent anywear, and pretty much every job in the navy has some level of danger to it, especially if your on a ship.

Maybe go for IT or ET or if your not technical YN or PN or SK

You think they just want to give you some extra cash to write articles for a newspaper? No dude. Your going somewhere to help kill people. That's what the military does.

I highly recommend the military for anyone dumb enough to join. Keeps the streets safe when all the violent people are shipped overseas.

Good luck with not dying!

You will soon spend all of your time reporting on the progress of the Battle at Armageddon. Peace be upon you.
