I have talked to 3 IRS reps. It is not an error for the EIC. I have claimed the 3 kids I have since birth. They all claim it is a glitch and with congress passing a bill at the last moment.

It is not a glitch in their system, Your return is being reviewed . If they find nothing wrong, it will complete processing and you will get your refund as per the notification said 2 additional weeks.

My refund was suppose to be deposited into my account on 1/26 also. When I call on the 31st and asked what happened they told me I gave them the wrong bank account number and they will issue a paper check. When I called today they don't know what is going on. I also got reference 1121. The reps don't even know what the code stands for. I have been at my same job with my same address and my same filing status and same dependants for several years so it is nothing shady on my part it is them screwing up.

It's not a glitch, error or screwup. People with straightforward returns are getting their refunds on schedule. Since some areas are often abused, returns claiming those issues are being reviewed before refunds are issued. Tough on the people who are claiming those items honestly, but there are way too many people claiming some items when they aren't entitled to them.
