My boyfriend (soon to be fiance) has signed a 4-year contract for the Canadian American Team. I want him to go but he says that he will quit for me in a second. I want him to follow his dream because this is his ticket to the "big time". I know that when he comes back we are going to get married and start our life together. I hear on the radio and the news about how these athletes are cheating on their wives and I am having second thoughts. Who knows what he will be doing whilehe is away. I mena I trust him but everyone knows how it is when you don't see your girlfriend for a while. I know I will hold it down for him but will love cause him to make the right decision? If he has to go how can I tell him how i feel?

yes, professional athletes cheat, but so do normal everyday guys, so don't go off that stereotype...I agree that you should support his dream (he will appreciate you for that) and encourage him to be a strong person...make plans to visit and talk regularly and you should be fine...
...don't hold him back for fear of him cheating; he can do that right now if he wanted to.

You need to let him go. IF you don't he will regret not giving it a chance and may take it out on you or hold it against you for as long as you are together. This is an awesome chance for him. I wish you the best.

Marry him if that is what he intends to do and go with him.
That will avoid the lost of a true love.
U won't have to wait so long and he won't have anyone else
come into the picture while he is away from u.

if he's going away for that long you can kiss goodbye any hopes of faithfulness, but the fact that he hasn't found a way for you to go with him tells me that he's probably not worth the worry anyways...
