My sons father and i were together for 4 years, and have a now almost 7 year old son together, he lives in another state, and hasnt seen my son since my son was about 3 years old. BUT he knows that my son has a loving father and has since he was 2 years old. He does pay child support every month. Sometimes more than he owes. No matter what and how much we argue i will always have a place in my heart for him. He is the father of my son and helped in creating him. Thats just the way it is. No i do not love him, but i do care for him and i wish him nothing but happiness

I'm not sure that I understand this question but I am going to answer it 2 ways, I hope that one of them is the way you mean.

If you mean do I still care about my birth mother, the answer is YES. Even though she has been dead for 39 years. I still love & miss her!
If you mean do I still care about my daugther's Father, the answer to that is also yes. Do I still love him, no! I am fixing to divorce him but even so, I will always care about him. Because he gave me the two best/most important people in the world to me, our two daughters!!

Do you mean like a guy being divorced from the mother of his children? My parents are divorced and my dad still cares about my mom.

It depends on the situation and the reasons behind their separating. My fiance hates his ex but she still cares about him.

sometimes you still love the person but just can't live with them
(maybe they are an addict or abusive etc.)
sometimes you don't love the person anymore.
over time you tend to love the person less.
