If you were writing a letter to a toy store, and asking for donations of toys for a daycare for lower income children how would you write it?

You have received some good answers! But in addition, bring the information with you and talk to the manager in person. You will be much more likely to get donations if you make the effort to go to the store and speak with him.

I worked retail for awhile, and seeing the person usually brought good results! Good luck!

ABC Daycare specializes in providing low-cost / subsidized daycare services for low income families.

From February 2nd to 28th, we're holding our annual toy drive and are looking for contributions for children aged # to #.

To the responses already made, I was also add a copy of the mission statement of your day care and a reminder that donations are tax deductible...It often helps to add some pics too
