I have had issues with my gallbladder for the last 10 yrs. I have had two ultrasounds and was told that there were no stones. Is there anything else that would cause issues with the gallbladder? I thought I read something about a spastic gallbladder...but I don't remember. The pain is back and very intense:( It seems to hit at night, about 3-4 hours after I eat. All under the right side of my ribcage and my back. It is even tender to the touch!
I want to go to the doctor, but I need to be taken seriously!!!! I am hoping to resolve the issue withOUT surgery! I assume that means that I will need to change my diet.

And just for the record:) I am not someone who runs to the doctor for everything. I haven't seen my GP in years!

If it's your gallbladder then diet is the only thing to help. Stay away from fatty and fried foods. You might also try a potato diet for a few days (boil potatoes with just a little salt for flavor). Then stay on a bland diet for thirty days. NO butter. NO fried foods. NO beef or pork!! Just baked chicken, turkey or vegetables. Oh, and make sure you eat plenty of steamed veggies especially broccoli.

Or it could be your adrenal glands. Do you take a lot of caffeine? It may be as simple as adding a B complex to your diet. I would suggest bee pollen from a reputable place like www.beeroyalproducts.com. The reason I say bee pollen is because it contains natural B vitamins (unlike pills that contain some man-made vitamins).

Change your diet, if you can handle the pain and attacks that is possibly the only way to take care of it other than getting it removed. I had my gallbladder removed 2 yrs. ago no more attacks for me. I know how miserable it can be, by the way how do you know that you do not have stones if you haven't seen your GP in years? You should be checked again, alot can happen in 10 years.

Low fat diets can help, but it sounds like you have cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gallbladder.
You may need surgery.
Hey, how do you know you don't have stones if you haven't seen the doctor in years? They can develop anytime.
Seems like you're suffering needlessly. The surgery is easy these days. I had it done.

What's stopping you from going to the doctor? Maybe you have a bile duct blockage now that you didn't have before. Do your symtoms increase with fatty meals? If your doctor doesn't listen, find another doctor...
